Summer 2026 — Reservations now open

Casanovas Atelier Spanish leather goods still life

Casa de Cuero · Est. 2026

Spanish leather,
considered slowly.

Manifiesto

Four pieces. One hide each. Cut, stitched, and edged by hand in a small workroom in the Born district of Barcelona — the way leather has been made on this peninsula for six hundred years.

We do not produce seasons. We open reservations when a hide arrives from our tannery in Igualada, and we close them when the edition is full. Summer 2026 is our first.

Every piece is saddle-stitched by a single artisan from the first hole to the last. There are no shortcuts, no glue holding what should be sewn, no thread that hasn't been waxed by hand.

We sell direct, in small editions, with the names of the makers on the inside. If a stitch ever fails, we mend it. The leather you choose is meant to outlive the choosing of it.

Our workroom sits behind a stone arch in the Born, three streets from the Picasso. Visits by appointment — bring the piece you've carried longest; we'll show you what we're making next.
