A small workroom
in the Born.
Casanovas Atelier was founded by Naial Casanovas, a fourth-generation leatherworker from the Empordà, in a stone-vaulted workroom on Carrer de la Princesa. We make a small number of pieces each season, by hand, from a small number of hides.
I
Materials
Our hides come from a single tannery in Igualada, an hour west of Barcelona, where leather has been vegetable-tanned in oak pits since the twelfth century. We refuse chrome. We refuse glue where stitching will hold. We choose hides one at a time, from the rack, by hand.

Makers
Every piece is finished by one artisan, from the first cut to the final burnish — never on a line. The maker's name is stamped on the inside of every piece. There are six of us. There will not be many more.

Editions
We open reservations when a hide arrives. We close them when the edition is full. Summer 2026 is the first edition: forty jackets, sixty bags, one hundred and fifty belts, two hundred wallets. When they are gone, they are gone.
IV
Repairs
We mend, re-stitch, and re-edge any Casanovas piece, for as long as we exist. Send it back to the workroom; we'll return it as close to new as honest repair allows. There is no expiration on this.
